It’s a common story: once a year, the doctor says to lose weight and eat better — but then you’re on your own the other 364 days.


Have you ever gone to your doctor for a routine check up and he tells you that you need to lose weight and that you’re headed for diabetes, heart problems, or other awful diseases? He then tells you that all you have to do is eat healthier and exercise, he may even write you a prescription — and then you’re on your way home. But you get home, get on the internet, and see 25 different popular diets — how sugar has 50 different names, how there’s gluten free, dairy free, nut free, soy free — so you get super overwhelmed and revert back to eating the way you were, adding in the occasional salad and take the pills you were prescribed. Unfortunately, this is fairly common nowadays. People want to be healthy, but they don’t get the support or the guidance necessary to get them there in our busy modern lives. I speak from personal experience — I was diagnosed with tons of disorders after the birth of my second child (read more here).
So where do I come in? Well, I come in somewhere after you get overwhelmed and don’t know what to do. I want to provide that support and guidance that I wish I had during my own healing journey.
It took me endless hours to research information on the internet, wasted money to figure out what tasted good and what tasted awful, what was easy to cook or not worth cooking at all, what diet worked for me, who to believe and what information was factual. I wish I had someone that I could ask questions when I was scared or confused, or someone to point me in the right direction, someone to take the time to teach me or educate me on things, to put it in simplest terms, I wish I had a coach. Someone to support me, to listen to me, to guide me, cheer me on, do the leg work for me. That’s me!
As a graduate from the Holistic Wellness Coaching Academy and obtaining my certifications as a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach and Gut Health Specialist, I am here to guide you to a healthier lifestyle.
I believe that there is no one perfect lifestyle for everyone. We all have different bodies, react to foods differently, carry weight more in one area than someone else and our lives are our own special journey. During my certification and my own direct experience, I learned that being healthy isn’t just about weight loss. The number on the scale does not determine how healthy you are. It’s about finding your own balance between the mind, body and spirit. There will be no strict dieting, rather a holistic approach where we will concentrate on dietary adjustments, gut health, reducing stress levels, increasing energy, finding a balance in your busy lifestyle and reawakening that person you so long to be again!
I have been suffering or many years with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, GERD, joint inflammation, borderline diabetes and asthma and was taking a number of medications. Thankfully, through the guidance and suggestions of Sherry, I made some dietary and lifestyle changes and am now off all my medications. I even used CBD salve on my knee and foot due to severe arthritis and it has made things more bearable for me doing my routine chores. Now, I can go down my three step stairs without worrying that I might not be able to make it without feeling my knee pain. I am very confident that without her input, I would still be suffering and taking my medications.
Sherry provided alot of guidance for me when I was trying out a low carb Paleo diet which taught me how to eat smarter and healthier. Because of that, I had even noticed that my monthly cycle improved! She is always there to provide her opinion and suggestions regarding my questions about supplements, food and my body. She is the ultimate health guru!
